Our amphibious undercarriage use Multi-synchronous Drive System (direct "4x4" final drive) or 4 engines at the pontoon instead of 2 engines which used by most of our competitors. This specialized feature offer superior tracking power and retain as much of the original traveling speed as possible on uneven and muddy terrains. This features also reduce the stress on the track chain providing fewer adjustments and longer life.
Our extentable pontoons offers the extra stability by maximizing the surface area of the amphibious excavator on the ground when the pontoons are fully extended. It also provide the flexibility of the transportation of complete machine by trailer when the pontoons are fully retracted. It is a safety feature of amphibious excavator to be able to float on water or muddy terrains with sufficient displacement. Each pontoon is designed with a 3 watertight compartments which are imperviously sealed. The stability of the amphibious excavator in deep water operation is enhanced by supplementary pontoons and spuds.
Apart from our competitors, Trex Engineering manufacture our own track chain. Each pontoon carries two or three strands of heavy duty track chain which are constructed with premium grade steel imported from Europe and each roller has an embedded bushing. The precise and consistent track chain offers the uniform pulling force and the bushing extend the working life of the chain. Steel fabricated track shoes with a ultimate strength are reinforced box design and larger adjacent area improve floatation and traction while paddling on water or in deep mud terrain.
